Travel Blogger Discovers Cinnamon Shore!
Writer of Ripped Jeans & Bifocals Blog Says She'll Return:
San Antonio-based Blogger Jill Robbins had never stayed at Cinnamon Shore. When she and her husband brought their two boys for a visit this fall, she became entranced and wrote a great review of the resort community. She calls it "our new favorite place in Port Aransas." She shared her discovery with her 80,000 followers on social media and 3,000 email subscribers.
A lover of beaches near and far, she says Port Aransas is the spot her family turns to for a beach fix within easy driving distance. "When we need to dip our toes into some saltwater without getting on a plane or driving for an entire day, Port Aransas – Port A for short – does the trick," she says.
'Relaxed Luxury'
Jill says that driving through the community, it emits a friendly, "neighborhood-like vibe," adding that she found her self wishing throughout her stay that she lived here. Describing Cinnamon Shore as a place with "relaxed luxury," she writes that "[t]he experience is definitely upscale but it manages to be that without and ounce of pretentiousness."
A two-bedroom condo suited all the family's needs, with a "dreamy" kitchen and living area, and the "most adorable bunk beds" for their two boys. The couple enjoyed the master bedroom with en suite bath.
Trying All the Amenities
The kids enjoyed playing on the Pirate Ship Playground, with the oversize chess set near the Great Lawn, and dipping a toe in the Dune Pool, despite the cold temperatures. The boys took a dip in heated Kiera's Pool with their dad, and she noticed most families were enjoying that pool and its adjacent C Bar during the cool, November weekend.
The family also enjoyed the bonfires and s'mores on beach, a service available through the Vacation Rental Office. And Jill checked out the Fitness Center, which she describes as "small but everything is new and pristine." She adds, "I am not a 'work out on vacation' kind of gal, but this gym threatens to change my mind.'"
She also found the service friendly and helpful."We felt truly spoiled and taken care of," she writes.
'Definitely Recommend, Worth the Price'
Jill has vacationed in Port A since childhood, and says that she had never stayed at Cinnamon Shore because it's a little higher priced than other accommodations on Mustang Island. But after her first weekend there, she realizes it's well worth it. "Having stayed here and experience the vibe of this community, I can say without hesitation that the price is worth what you get." She plans to return next summer. "I think we found our new place in Port A and that makes me happy," Jill sends in conclusion.
