Headliner: Texas Singer-Songwriter Kody West
Popular on the Texas music scene, Kody keeps his country roots but has developed an alt rock vibe.
Performing publicly since 2014, the Denton, Texas, native has earned an avid following with his brand of outlaw country blended with all-out rock. After his first Extended Play collection, "Higher Grounds," he released his debut album, "Green" in 2017 and a second studio album, "Overgrown," in 2020.
His brand-new single "Falling," follows other signals released the past year, including "Buried Alive" and "Circles" -- all available on Spotify and other music apps.
Writing for music site Whiskey Riff, Hill Douglas says Kody "has made a name for himself over the years as one of the best talents on the Texas/Oklahoma rock and roll scene...He’s one of several artists that seem to me to be pioneering the Texas grunge scene, revitalizing the popular alt-rock sound of the ‘90s." The same site also praised his debut "Green," saying "[t]he whole album in general is a work of art."
Kody will bring the heartfelt lyrics of a a singer-songwriter and country rock sounds to Cinnamon Shore.
Special Guest: Two Tons of Steel of San Antonio
This legendary Texas band has played Rockabilly and Americana circuits for decades, gracing stages that include the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, the National Theater in Havana, Cuba, and concert venues in Europe. The band is known for its Tuesday night appearances at legendary Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas, made famous in a 2006 live recording "Two Ton Tuesday Live." The band continues to be named one of San Antonio's best. It boasts Top Ten appearances on the Americana music chart, and released its most recent album "Gone" in 2017.
