Peach Fuzz--Color of the Year!

Pantone^® calls it 'Peach Fuzz.' We see sunrise at Cinnamon Shore...

Could the experts at the Pantone Color Institute picked a more luscious color as the 2024 Color of the Year? It's Peach Fuzz | Pantone 13-1023. And we can find it all over Cinnamon Shore!

The Institute says the color represents a chance to "recalibrate" and experience "calm," just as a trip to the beach does. They say it's "clean peach tone with a vintage vibe" that also "evokes a new modernity." That sounds like many of the home interiors at Cinnamon Shore, classic beach with a new sophistication.

Comforting Color 

In response to the tumultuous times and turmoil in the world, the Pantone team looked for a comforting color that will make its way into fashion, home design, product packing and more industries, as the hue pulls the warm tones from nature's spectrum and also hints at the soft exterior of a ripe peach. They say it represents "heartfelt kindness" and call it "compassionate" and "nurturing," and that it's also "subtly sensual" with a velvet feel. 

"The color is one whose warm and welcoming embrace conveys a message of compassion and whose cozy sensibility brings people together and enriches the soul,” says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute.

Cousin to Cinnamon Shore Coral

We see the color as a cousin to Cinnamon Shore coral, reminding us of sunset peach and pink-infused oranges that streak the sky many nights along our beachfront. It shows up in many condo and beach home interiors. And there's got to a gelato flavor at Shore Cafe that looks like this! 

A Color that Inspires You to Flourish, Heal, and Feel

Now it's 25th year of promoting a "Color of the Year," the Institute talks and writes about this single hue with inspirational language that helps you see a lot a color swatch! Just listen to the way the executive director helps you imagine how a single color can evoke deep feeling.
