Tasiest Pizza Pies! Dylan's Makes the List
Dylan’s Coal Oven Pizza made the list of 10 pizzerias with “some of the tastiest slices in Texas.”!
AAA Explorer magazine topped it's February 2024 list of best pizzas to pair with March Madness basketball with a look at on-site favorite, Dylan's Coal Oven PIzzeria.
The piece explains that cooking with coal gives the crust at Dylan's its unique texture and flavor, and it highlights best-sellers like pepperoni and Margherita pizza, along with special pies featuring prosciutto, arugula, and ricotta that's also dusted with lemon-peppered.
Bryan Atwood of Legacy Ventures, which operates Dylan's on site at Cinnamon Shore, explains that the high heat and quick bake time seals in flavors and gives the crust its characteristic crust.
It's a New York-style pizza, but the coal-fired cooking technique that dates back to Naples as early as 1522, according to coal-oven pizza history buffs!
